Well, I just had some more friends leave. I'm going to be seeing all my new friends leaving from now on until the end of February. I'm on the very last flight out of Pole. I'll be here until the weather gets too cold then have about 3 hours notice to be ready to go (since it takes 3 hours for the plane to get here from McMurdo). The station projection for the last flight is the end of February but it usually gets too cold by the 20th or so. The hydraulics on the C130 planes will freeze if it gets below -50C.
The weather is already getting cold. The current temperature is -28C/ -18F but with windchill it's -41C/ -41F.
