Time is passing quickly

Time flies when you're having fun! Whew. Again, my apologies for not being as up-to-date as I possibly can. Since the beginning of the year, I've been involved in two projects that are time consuming yet very cool fun.

The first being I'm looking for a new restaurant. I've found several but last minute plans seem to fall through unexpectedly. Still on the hunt and am excited about my new place... location, location, location... and it seems as if all the good spots are taken. But I've been figuring, arduous hunting does not make a difference if there is nothing available. Which means, I've reserved my search for built-out restaurants with little or no construction for conversion and I've had to expand my ideal search area because built-outs are difficult to find.

Second, the East Coast Biker Chicks have expanded out West. Thus, a friend of mine was asked to become the director of the West Coast Biker Chicks motorcycle club and down the chain, I've become the assistant director. It's an all-women's motorcycle club now a national non-profit organization. We've been having recruiting/ membership drives, advertising to get our name out to the public and we just completed our first biker chick night that went very well. Next up is our club fundraiser for our charity - Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is researching and hunting a cure for blood cancer patients which is occuring on June 25th in Orange County, Southern California.

With this new motorcycle club, we've been having alot of events and rides. The SoCal weather hasn't been cooperating too much with rain and flooding... which we've had to cancel quite a few of our rides. This weekend will be our first actual and official club ride in the Santa Monica mountains. I'll be leading this ride and will be sure to post pics because the view of the ocean is quite fabulous! Now the weather is starting to be nice, we have many more rides for this coming year. It's quite exciting to see a new organization take fruit and grow.
